GOP RESPONDATION OF STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS - If showing your disapproval by remaining seated and refusing to clap when an issue is aired while a large group of attendees stand and clap vigorously, then much disapproval was vigorously demonstrated by the Republican Party Wednesday night towards each of the following:

1. A proposed fee to make big banks pay back all the taxpayer money used to bail them out last year
2. The tax cut that was given to 95% of working families last year
3. 2,000,000 jobs that were saved or created by the stimulus plan
4. Proposed use of 30 Billion dollars to fund loans for small business
5. Proposed slashing of tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas and a proposal to give tax breaks to companies that create jobs here
6. Proposed Jobs Bill to ease unemployment
7. Proposed financial industry regulations to prevent another collapse
8. Proposed energy and climate bill to lessen foreign dependence on oil and make energy consumption cleaner
9. Pointing out that the proposed health care reform would lower the deficit by 1 Trillion dollars in 20 years
10. Using health care reform to address skyrocketing premiums, the millions losing coverage and the inability of small business to afford coverage for employees
11. Proposed spending freeze
12. Proposed end of Bush tax cuts for those making $250,000 or more
13. Proposed return to a pay as you go policy that enabled Clinton to balance his budget
14. Proposal to have Congress post all pork barrel spending requests by name of author before votes
15. Confirm plan to end wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and commit to bring all troops home
16. Proposal to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell

To be fair, the Republicans were on their tippy toes, high fiving and doing the bump when the President spoke of focusing on nuclear energy and clean coal power. I am quite sure I saw tears of joy streaming down Eric Cantor's face when more offshore oil exploration was mentioned.

This is the true GOP and they demonstrated their likes and dislikes in front of one and all. It's the same old thing. Help the rich, ignore the rest, regulate nothing. War, baby! War!

Republican Congressman, Jeb Hensarling was true to form by later asking that burning question "how are you going to tax banks and expect them to lend more is frankly lunacy?"

Exactly! What I said! How can we possibly expect one of the wealthiest industries in the entire world to pay taxes and still operate? That stellar act of multitasking can only be realistically expected of the middle class.

PALIN RESPONDATION - Sarah offers her deep, deep insight to the equally deep Hannity by noting America's displeasure of Obama's "government takeover and 'mandation' of health care". Thanks Sarah, that's just what I was going to say!
