Fine. I stand corrected. Cheney isn't heartless. I know this because of confirmation he suffered a heart attack Monday. In a press release by family friend and fellow conservative, Mary Matalin, it was stated that he "is fortunate to have great doctors".
Yah, no kidding. Fortunate is the word. He has had 5 heart attacks since he was 37 years old. I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery, in the desire to hear him personally express gratitude for enjoying a lifetime of high quality government funded healthcare, which he contends is not what typical Americans deserve.
LONGEST LIVING AMERICANS - Here is how you prove to your ultra right leaning brother in law, Neobob, that government healthcare is superior to corporate insurance healthcare. Ask him to point to even one group of people that live longer than do the members of Congress.
WOMEN TO BE ALLOWED ON SUBMARINES, according to the Pentagon, as it secretly awakens to just how bad it would look if the last group of Americans to realize equality in the military turns out to be women and not gays. Nothing opens doors to long oppressed groups like a long, costly military conflict.
WILD WEST OF THE EAST COAST - Virginia's General Assembly voted last week to allow patrons in bars to pack heat, paving the way towards fulfilling the Commonwealth's long term dream of boosting tourist dollars by catering to oft ignored enthusiasts of Russian Roulette.
DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH - If you are waiting for Texas conservative politicians to make the environment cleaner for you or your children. Texas Governor Perry and Senator Hutchison have united to ensure Texans have a reliable, uninterrupted supply of the dirtiest air in the nation by supporting a lawsuit filed by the state to halt the efforts of the EPA to force Texas to finally put the health of it's citizens above the profits of it's numerous industries.
Both Perry and Hutchison are already on record warning of impending economic doom, but neither have expressed concern for the pollution related economic crises incurred by individual Texans suffering from asthma and cancer.
Since Texas contributes as much as 35% of all the industrial greenhouse gases produced in the US, it should come as no surprise that 16 states and New York City are defending the EPA's position. Hold your breath until November, then vote Democrat for Governor.
